Description
BHI broth is used for the cultivation of a wide variety of microorganisms, including bacteria (streptococci, pneumococci and meningococci), yeasts and molds. It serves as a base for supplemented media containing 0.1% agar, Fildes enrichment or 6.5% sodium chloride.
- To use dehydrated product: suspend 37g in 1L of purified water
- Displays a good cultural response to Neisseria meningitides 13090, Streptococcus pneumonia 6305 and Streptococcus pyogenes 19615
- pH (3.7% solution, 25°C): 7.4 ± 0.2
