It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. It is recommended that sterile water (1695 μL) be added to the vial to prepare a stock solution of 0.83 mg/mL. Concentration is measured by UV.

ErbB2 (HER2) is a receptor tyrosine kinase that is overexpressed in some breast tumors. Herceptin, used in treatment of metastatic Her2-positive cancer, is monoclonal antibody targeting this kinase.
