Description

Strep-Tactin™XT Superflow™ high capacity is a 6% agarose coupled with the streptavidin variant Strep-Tactin™XT and applicable for purification of Strep-tag™II or Twin-Strep-tag™ fusion proteins.
It allows the addition of denaturing agents such as urea during the purification procedure. In comparison to Strep-Tactin™ XT Superflow™, Strep-Tactin™XT Superflow™ high capacity has a higher density of immobilized Strep-Tactin™XT, which leads to a 3- to 5-fold higher yield of purified protein.
As with any other Strep-Tactin™XT resins, the unspecific protein binding is extremely low, which results in an outstanding purity of the target protein.
The suspension can be used for packing of gravity flow columns since the resin is optimized for column affinity chromatography, rather than for batch purification.
To pack a column with 1 ml resin bed volume, 2 ml 50% suspension are necessary.
