Description
Platinum Pfx DNA Polymerase is ideal for amplification of DNA fragments for high-fidelity PCR applications. High fidelity is provided by a proprietary enzyme preparation containing recombinant DNA polymerase from Thermococcusspecies KODwith proofreading (3'-5' exonuclease) activity. Platinumantibody technology provides a simple, automatic, hot-start method that improves PCR specificity. PCRx Enhancer Solution is included for higher primer specificity, broader magnesium concentration allowances, broader annealing temperature parameters, and improved thermostability of PlatinumPfxDNA Polymerase. The PCRx Enhancer Solution also helps optimize PCR of problematic and/or GC-rich templates.

Applications
Amplification of DNA from complex genomic, viral, and plasmid templates; and RT-PCR. Platinum Pfx DNA Polymerase is especially effective when very high levels of fidelity are required.
