Product features

  • Flexibility—use for native and denaturing protein assays
  • Fast run conditions—quickly separate your proteins using constant voltage in less than 60 minutes
  • Wedge-shaped wells—for easier sample loading and up to two times higher sample volume

Run your proteins in native or denatured form

Novex Tris-Glycine Plus gels do not contain SDS and so can be used to separate proteins in a native or denatured state. For denatured proteins, we recommend using Novex Tris-Glycine SDS Sample Buffer (LC2676) and Novex Tris-Glycine SDS Running Buffer (LC26754). For native proteins, we recommend using Novex Tris-Glycine Native Sample Buffer (LC2673) and Novex Tris-Glycine Native Running Buffer (LC2672). The gels can be run in the SureLock Tandem Midi Gel Tank (STM1001) or XCell4 SureLock Midi-Cell (WR0100).

For transfer of proteins to a membrane, we recommend using the Novex Tris-Glycine Transfer Buffer (LC3675) when performing traditional wet transfer with the SureLock Tandem Midi Blot Module (STM2001). Rapid semi-dry transfer can be done using the Invitrogen Power Blotter or rapid dry transfer using the iBlot 3 Gel Transfer Device (IB31001).

Convenient to use

Novex Tris-Glycine Plus WedgeWell format gels have innovative wedge-shaped wells that allow up to two times more sample load volume than other 1.0 mm-thick gels. The wedge-shaped wells also have larger openings, which makes sample loading easier.
