Applied Biosystems™ Orbitor™ RS2 Microplate Mover for QuantStudio™ Systems, Sequential Access
This Orbitor RS2 Microplate Mover is a microplate robot designed for use with the QuantStudio 12K Flex, QuantStudio 7 Pro, and QuantStudio 7 Flex real-time PCR systems, enabling real-time PCR in automated environments for increased sample throughput.
Brand: Applied Biosystems™ A32268
Description
It is offered in two different configurations: one with sequential access hotels for plate storage and handling (Cat. No. A32268; 40 plates/3 hotels) and one with random access hotels (Cat. No. A32269; 24 plates/3 hotels).
Extensive vertical reach allows the robot to access virtually any microplate instrument location including stacked instruments, and its telescoping arm can reach a variety of distances. The ingenious arm travels right through the base, resulting in the most rapid and efficient movements. The Orbitor RS2 Microplate Mover has an integrated barcode scanner for greater flexibility and a full 360° workspace with unlimited base rotation which eliminates the need for hard stops and reverse movements.
Advanced closed-loop motion control provides collision detection and position monitoring, allowing the robot to quickly resume without the need to re-home. With a wide range of grip-control functionality, this robot combines performance with innovation. From variable force control to plate detection, the feature-set is designed to impress. The result is remarkable speed, precise motion, and consistent, accurate plate placement.
The Orbitor RS2 Microplate Mover is powered by Thermo Scientific Momentum Integration Software with features such as Momentum scheduling software, error detection and recovery, and a dynamic scheduler that allows changes while running.
