Polyethylene glycol monomethylether is used as enteric release coatings. It is also used for a series of polycarboxylate water reducing agent. It acts as a solvent for brake fluids. Further, it is used in the building materials industry and raw material for cement water reducing agent and strengthening agent. In addition to this, it is used in surfactants, polyester and polyurethane based paints.
