Air Purification Panels, Manifolds, and Filters

Air Purification Panels, Manifolds, and Filters

Air purification panels, manifolds, and filters work in conjunction to ensure Grade-D quality air is available and distributed to supplied-air respirator (SAR) wearers from a common source.

Airline filtration panel systems are portable or wall-mounted devices that enable breathable air for single or multiple users with or without independent regulators. Associated panel filters remove water, particulate, oils, mists, organic vapors, and odors. Most systems feature carbon monoxide (CO) and/or oxygen monitoring capabilities with audible and/or visual alarms.

Selection of air purification panels is based on number of workers, airline respirator types, required flow, and pressure requirements.

Supplied-air respirator (SAR) airline manifolds are often referred to as splitters. Their purpose is to direct filtered air to multiple sockets to enable more than one worker to connect to a single air supply. SAR airline hoses transport Grade-D quality air from the air compressor to the worker.

Supplied-air compressors and ambient-air pumps work with SAR panels, manifolds, and filters to provide safe, breathable air to workers in environments with low oxygen levels or compromised air quality. For a complete list of air compressors, air pumps, and breathing carts see Respiratory Air Sources. For more information on complementing SAR airline hoses and fittings, refer to Atmosphere-Supplying Respirator Parts and Accessories.
